The system’s transaction processing engine is capable of processing more than six (6) million transactions per day to keep up with NTTA’s current and projected volumes. TollPlus is actively working toward formal system acceptance while also providing 24/7/365 operations and maintenance support. The success of this transition was even more significant, as it took place during the global COVID-19 pandemic Within the first 24-hours of Go-Live, over 10 million trips were processed and within the first 72-hours of Go-Live, all backlogs were processed. The production implementation included the successful migration of data from the legacy system, consisting of 17.6 Million Accounts, 2.34 Billion Trips and 500 Million Payments. Prior to the system being deployed, TollPlus – bringing the broad delivery capacity and the global vision of an international highway concessionaire leader found at VINCI Highways – conducted meticulous Go-Live planning, including load/performance testing to simulate approximately 7,000 customers, 700 customer service staff, and 300 image review staff, all using the system concurrently. The system has been performing exceptionally since it went live on January 11, 2021. As the prime contractor, TollPlus was responsible for providing project planning and management in concert with NTTA’s Project Management Office (PMO), system design and testing, transition, data migration, and installation of the new BOS, as well as post-implementation services and maintenance. If that occurs, the proposed Grayson County Spur Road would serve as non-tolled access lanes for the ultimate facility. The new NTTA BOS was designed to process all transponder-based and license-plate based toll transactions on NTTA’s network and the other toll facilities in the region, as well as transponder-based parking at the two major airports in the Dallas region, DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field. It is also expected that the proposed two-lane roadway could eventually be adopted by the GCRMA as part of a controlled access, six-lane, high-speed tollway, if warranted by transportation demand. The proposed project would be constructed as a two-lane undivided facility within a proposed right-of-way width of 130 feet. The Grayson County Spur Road would improve transportation efficiency by connecting to the planned extension of the Dallas North Tollway to CR 60, providing connectivity to FM 121 and ultimately FM 902 in south-central Grayson County. Current Study Area – Spur Road between County Road 60 and FM 121Ī feasibility study evaluating alternative alignments is currently underway for a proposed TxDOT new location, two-lane, undivided state roadway from CR 60 (near the Collin/Grayson County Line), north to FM 121 (west of the city of Gunter), a distance of approximately 4.3 miles. The study will also evaluate traffic demands and intermodal connections with other transportation facilities. The study limits are west of SH 289 to east of SH 289 on FM 121. Alternatives include building a new alignment south of Gunter with a bridge over SH 289. The study will identify and evaluate project development alternatives within the corridor. FM 121 Gunter Relief RouteĪ route and feasibility study is underway for a proposed four-mile relief route. The study will identify and evaluate potential alignments for expansion and examine the potential environmental impacts. The proposed project will also increase regional mobility and connect the Sherman-Denison metropolitan planning area with the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Dallas-Fort Worth is projected to expand north and this project would accommodate that shift, provide an alternative for truck traffic and provide easier access to Sherman, Denison and Lake Texoma. The proposed project would extend the proposed tollway 37 miles and provide traffic relief to US 75. The Grayson County Tollway study is examining the possible extension of the Dallas North Tollway from CR 60 near the Collin County line south of Gunter to US 75 near Denison.
